Between the peaks of Garda lake: the route

The starting point of this itinerary is in the village of Campione sul Garda, where you will find a free car park where you can park your car. From here, skirting the building of the old cotton mill, you will soon reach the San Michele Torrent, intercepting the path that climbs to its left, just before the bridge. You will then reach the San Michele gorge, with the hydroelectric plant built to power the old cotton mill. From here we follow the path that unravels through the woods, reaching the hamlet of Prabione. We do not enter the built-up area but take the path that climbs to the left of the bend in Via Campogrande, then turning left near an adventure park. From here we descend, intercepting the path to Monte Cas, from which we enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Garda, encountering ancient fortresses and trenches from the Great War. From Monte Cas we then follow a dirt road downhill, reaching the Eremo di Montecastello. Here we find a bar and a bench where we can have lunch. For the return journey, we then follow the downhill asphalted road to Via Leonardo da Vinci. From here we follow the path that winds its way between the houses and then into the woods. At a certain point we see a small path going downhill on the left and we follow it. We continue straight ahead until we return to the adventure park intercepted on the outward journey and, from here, following the same path as before (this time downhill) we return to the car park.
