The route around the Revine lakes
The route around the Revine lakes can take place from different points: you can park your car in front of the Livelet archaeological park in the town of Lago (taking the opportunity to visit this park, which boasts archaeological finds dating back to the Neolithic period, with a lakefront reconstruction); at the Vaa' de le Femene park in Colmaggiore, where you can find an area equipped with grills and games, particularly popular within children; in Santa Maria at the green area, where you will be welcomed by a large lawn with a bar to enjoy a break after the walk. The tour forms a loop route, with scenery that overlooks the lake and allows you to see the typical flora and fauna of the lake. Halfway along the route, a lookout has recently been built with illustrative panels to recognize the birds, ducks and animals that can be spotted along the way. This structure, placed between the two lakes, also serves as a bridge in which you can cross to reach the opposite shore. Along the way then you can immortalize yourself in the frames overlooking the lake and built by the "Portego" drawing and painting group. In addition, a pedal boat rental service is also available at Lago's little beach, which will allow you to delve more closely into the discovery of Lago di Lago and its shores, and then, by going along the "canale Barche" that lies at the bottom of the lake, reach Lake Santa Maria. If you visit these lakes in the summer then, you can't help but enjoy a nice swim, try your hand at diving from the pontoons or straiarsi sunbathing, surrounded by the magnificent panorama and "embraced" by its mountains.
